Bond Street, a small business loan company started by Harvard grads, had a design need to 1) feel residential and 2) pay homage to customers. Conference spaces and employee collaboration are vital to the company’s success. In order to increase productivity, a variety of seating areas are available. They help team members move around during the day and stimulate their brains. Good-bye boring.
Bond Street used design team Homepolish to spruce up its Hudson Square loft space. The 4,500-square-foot space in New York features five breakout rooms, one of which is surfing themed. Teams gather on customized tables and benches for lunch. They also collaborate in rooms like the outdoor breakout room, which has a wall mural and reclaimed wooden chairs. Other conference spaces are inspired by early clients like The Smile, United By Blue, and Bec Brittain. The company’s large logo glows in neon light and sits on top of grid wallpaper. The 24 employees sit in translucent office chairs from Herman Miller.
