How to succeed in unemployment | How to quit

Sending your boss a resignation letter is the easiest thing you’ll do. The amount if weight off your shoulders will feel amazing. Since all employees are at-will, an explanation of termination is not required. Keep it short and simple, and do not give details. If you have endured bullying, consider mentioning it in the letter in one or two sentences. If you do, it is documentation that the company can’t ignore, and may be included in your boss’s file. Just remember that your letter will be added to your personnel file, and it can keep you from being rehired in the future. For a company with bad culture, you would never consider returning anyway.
