San Francisco is home to countless name brand start-ups, but one stands out as making a name for itself the quickest. Uber, a company of drivers via an app founded in 2009, expanded its footprint in San Francisco during 2015. Just a few floors up from its previous location, 19,826 square feet of space was remodeled to match the hip brand known as Uber.
Designed by a large team at O+A, the office space, referred to as Uber 11, was meant to allow teams to detach from any corporate feeling and collaborate on special projects in very unique spaces. Everything from exposed ceilings and concrete floors to décor matching the company’s “populist luxury” mission. Employees enjoy a game room, large kitchen, and a focal wall covered in taxi receipts for a good laugh.
